Since the new trustees have taken over the village hall we would like to dedicate this page to thank those that have contributed to the village hall.  For those that may be aware, we have had people contractors meeting us over the last few months and this month we have received funding to help us with our plans to get the village hall back open

Essex Community Grant

In August 2021 the village hall received £576 to pay for a structural engineer to examine the building and report to the trustees on the structure of the building and grounds. 

Essex Community Fund (ELAC)

In January 2022, the village hall trustees were awarded £5000 out of the £10,000 requested to support our proposal to make the building safe and open to our community.  The trustees will now need to work on getting more funding to aid this piece of work either through additional funding or payment in kind.  

Uttlesford District Council - Community Project Grant
In August 2022 Uttlesford District Council awarded £3500 to support the replacement of the Village Hall flooring. This will now help to replace the wooden flooring in the main Hall. 

Uttlesford District Council - Cllr Funding 
In March 2023 Cllr G Bagnall allocated £2000 to support the renovation project deliverables set by in January 2022 which support the CIF funding received. 

Uttlesford District Council - Cllr Funding
In December 2024 Cllr M Coletta allocated £952 funding to support the renovation of the Village Hall. The funding received is planned to be allocated to raising funds to upgrade our Plumbing which is estimate to be around £30,000 + VAT. 

Stansted Airport - Community Grant
In February 2025 Stansted Airport awarded Molehill Green Village Hall £30,000 to upgrade the electrics, heating and lighting. 

Takeley Parish Council Funding 
In May 2025 Takeley Parish Council awarded £6,000 to Molehill Green Village Hall to pay to reconfigure the toilets within the building
