OUR TEAM


Meet the trustees of Molehill Green Village Hall 

Meet the new team of trustees for Molehill Green Village Hall. Every member of the team are residents of Molehill Green and have a passion to ensure that one of our main community assets remains in the community being used by the community. Over the next few months the team will be working hard to develop plans to start the journey of understand the communities needs to ensure that all future steps are understood prior to any developments.

The trustees are:
  • Sonia Carr - Vice Chairperson
  • Martin Carr 
  • Ian Schaffner - Chairperson
  • Lucy Johnson - Secretary

The team would also like to thank the existing trustees for their contribution over many years, we are lucky that this amazing group of people have held firm to keep hold of the grounds. It is now our turn to invest time and energy to shape the future our our village hall for our residents as well as our wider community.

Our Principles 

The Charity & Constitution

The Trustees of the Village Hall are registered with the Charity Commission. The Charity Number is  286071. 

In November 2020 new Trustees were appointed to Molehill Green Village Hall, taking accountability of the building, grounds and the overarching Charity known as “Molehill Green Village Hall”. 

The Charity is registered with the Charity Commission and is aligned to the original Constitution which was established on 10th December 1958. 

Strategic Objectives

Our Strategic Objectives for Molehill Green Village Hall are:

To create a multifunctional space that allows the residents of Uttlesford to utilise the space for recreation, sports and community activities that improves the quality of life for its users. 

The trustees are committed to aligning their organisational objectives to Essex County Council and Uttlesford District Councils Strategic Objectives. 

Standards of Practice

Although the building is not up and running, the trustees have taken on board the importance of excellent quality and an up-to-date standard of practice, policies and processes to ensure the health and safety of all our users.

Once the building is open, the Trustees will annually update all policies, practice and processes.

Molehill Green Village Hall is insured with public liability insurance for small events held by the trustees. 

Molehill Green Village Hall Meetings


The trustees have two different types of meetings, these are:

  • Trustee Meeting: This meeting is for trustees only. Within this  meeting the trustees oversee key strategic objectives and manage key decisions on the grounds, building and overall charity.
  • Committee Meeting: This meeting is for trustees are local residents within the Takeley area with a key objective being to support the upkeep of the village hall, help organise events or activities and support fund raising.
